On September 25, China Public Diplomacy Association (CPDA) and the Consulate-General of China in Dubai co-organized the China-UAE Media Think Tank Dialogue on “Rooting China-UAE Friendship in People’s Heart through BRI Co-development”. The event was attended by Wu Hailong, President of the CPDA; Li Xuhang, Consul-General of China in Dubai; Abdulla Ahmed Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy of the UAE; and Sheikh Majid Al Mualla, Chairman of the Executive Committee of Hala China, among other distinguished guests. Also participating in the event were more than 80 responsible persons and representatives of Chinese and UAE media, universities, research institutes, Chinese companies and overseas Chinese associations.

In his keynote speech, President Wu Hailong gave a comprehensive introduction of the great achievements of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) over the past 10 years and emphasized the significance of strengthening people-to-people exchanges between the two countries to promote heart-to-heart connection. Consul-General Li Xuhang affirmed the remarkable achievements made by China and the UAE in BRI co-development, setting an example of cooperation between China and regional countries. Undersecretary Abdulla expressed his positive outlook on future China-UAE cooperation in various fields.

Participants shared their thoughts and suggestions, admired President Xi Jinping’s great initiative for benefiting all countries in the world and firmly believed in the bright future of BRI co-development.
