On October 26, the Consulate-General in Dubai held a ceremony to inaugurate its new premise, with speeches by Assistant Foreign Minister Xu Feihong, Ambassador Zhang Yiming and Consul-General Li Xuhang. Nearly 200 guests were present, including Maktoum Bin Butti Al Maktoum, Director of MoFA’s Dubai Office, members of the royal family of each emirate in the consular district, diplomatic envoys in Dubai, people from all sectors, and Chinese companies and expatriates.

Xu Feihong pointed out that the construction of the permanent premise symbolizes the broad and bright prospects of China-UAE relations. He looked forward to deepening friendship, promoting cooperation and jointly creating a bright future for China-UAE comprehensive strategic partnership.

Zhang Yiming expressed the determination of the Embassy and Consulate in the UAE to remain committed to their original aspiration, keep the mission in mind, forge ahead, support Chinese enterprises and overseas expatriates and endeavor to promote the mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Dubai and the UAE to a new level.

According to Li Xuhang, the new premise symbolizes China-UAE friendship and a new platform for foreign exchanges.
