On September 26, the Consulate-General in Dubai held a reception celebrating the 74th anniversary of the National Day and the Mid-Autumn Festival. Consul-General Li Xuhang and President Wu Hailong of China Public Diplomacy Association (CPDA) delivered speeches. Nearly 700 people attended the reception, including Maktoum Bin Butti Al Maktoum, Director of MoFA’s Dubai Office and representative of the UAE government, and members of the royal family of each emirate in the consular district, people from all sectors, Chinese companies, expatriates and overseas students in the consular district.

Hailing the golden era of China-UAE comprehensive strategic partnership, Li Xuhang looked forward to brighter prospects on the new starting point created by the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative.

Sharing the profound China-UAE friendship, Wu Hailong promised CPDA’s efforts in contributing to China-UAE friendship, vividly presenting the stories of the two countries and promoting heart-to-heart connection.

At the reception, performing artists from Beijing, Jiangsu, Inner Mongolia, Guangdong and Fujian, as well as enterprise staff and overseas Chinese in the consular district, performed song and dance, acrobatics, Beijing opera, sand painting, Chinese music, martial arts and magic.
