Consul-General Li Xuhang Attended the “Warm Spring - Campus” Activity to Visit Overseas Chinese Students

On December 22, Consul-General Li Xuhang went to the University of Birmingham Dubai and Al Qasimia University to visit overseas Chinese students as a part of the “Warm Spring - Campus” activity. He discussed with them and distributed the “Warm Spring Packets”, with the participation of 150 overseas Chinese students.

Li Xuhang sent new year greetings to the students and said that the health and safety of overseas students have always been the top priorities of the Party and the government. Under the “Warm Spring” campaign launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs worldwide, the Consulate-General prepared “Warm Spring Packets” as the care and warmth from the motherland in the new year. Li Xuhang encouraged the overseas Chinese students in the UAE to cherish their time, study hard, follow current affairs, think about the motherland, build up their image, promote China, tell the story of China and of Chinese youth, strive to be the ambassador of promoting China’s image and spreading Chinese culture, and show the vigorous style of Chinese youths in the new era. The Embassy and Consulate-General in the UAE will always provide strong and warm support for Chinese students in the UAE.

The representatives of the overseas Chinese students expressed their gratitude to the Embassy and the Consulate-General in the UAE for their constant care and support, and they deeply felt that the motherland was close to them. The 20th CPC National Congress draws a blueprint for China’s future development and shows the way for progressing forward, which also provides a historical stage, opportunities and prospects for young students today. They promised to keep in mind the sincere teachings of General Secretary Xi Jinping and the earnest wishes of the Consulate General, study hard during their study in the UAE, develop competitive skills, make the youth shine on the road of progress and contribute vigor to the construction and development of the motherland.

During the event, Li Xuhang met with Ben Bailey, Chief Operating Officer of University of Birmingham Dubai and Professor Awad Al Khalaf, Chancellor of Al Qasimia University, to thank their care and cultivation and learn more about the study and life of the Chinese students.
