Consul-General Li Xuhang Attended the Opening Ceremony of the 13th edition of China (UAE) Trade Fair

On December 19, Consul-General Li Xuhang attended the opening ceremony of the 13th 13th edition of China (UAE) Trade Fair which was attended by Butti Saeed Al Ghandi, Vice Chairman of Dubai World Trade Center; Ruan Ganghui, Vice Mayor of Jinhua Municipal People’s Government; Zhu Hongwu, Deputy Director of Foreign Trade Development Department of Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce; and Zhou Guangyao, Chief Representative of CCPIT in the Gulf Region.

Before the opening ceremony, Li Xuhang met with the representatives of Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Jinhua Municipal People’s Government, Yongkang Municipal People’s Government, Wenzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Taizhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce and Dongguan Municipal Bureau of Commerce who led the enterprises to participate in the event. They exchanged views on foreign trade enterprises actively “going out” to explore markets and business opportunities in the post-pandemic era and on promoting trade, exchange and cooperation between China and the UAE.

After the opening ceremony, Li Xuhang visited the exhibition halls and booths with Vice Chairman Butti Saeed Al Ghandi and representatives of relevant provincial and municipal governments to learn more about the exhibitors. This 3-day 13th edition of China (UAE) Trade Fair was initiated by Hangzhou Municipal People’s Government and co-sponsored by relevant provinces and cities, with exhibits covering a wide range of industries such as automobile and motorcycle parts, building materials, textiles, machinery, home appliances, household supplies, beauty, cosmetics, etc. It attracted 1,040 foreign trade enterprises from 44 cities in 10 provinces, including Zhejiang Province, Guangdong Province, Jiangsu Province, Hunan Province and Shandong Province. With an exhibition area of 30,000 square meters, it is the largest Chinese commodity fair held on-site in Dubai since 2020.
