On November 3, 2022, the Consulate-General in Dubai held a briefing for Chinese and foreign media on “New Development in China, New Opportunities in the World” to explain the guiding principles of the report to the 20th CPC National Congress and answer questions from journalists on the spot. More than 20 journalists from more than 10 media, including central media, local mainstream media, Chinese media and famous we-media, attended the briefing.

Consul-General Li Xuhang comprehensively reviewed the great changes of China in the first decade of the new era. He focused on the achievements of Marxism modernization, the rich connotation and essential requirements of the Chinese path to modernization, the central task of the CPC and the importance of the Party’s insistence on self-revolution and explained China’s independent foreign policy of peace and the concept of building a human community with a shared future. Li Xuhang emphasized that the 20th CPC National Congress once again set the goal of building a great modern socialist country, and that China, as the engine of world economic development, will provide more new opportunities for win-win cooperation for all countries, including the UAE, in the process of promoting the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation through Chinese modernization.

Consul General Li Xuhang also answered questions on the 20th CPC National Congress, China’s development experience and the prospects of China-UAE cooperation from journalists of Chinese and foreign media, including Albayan, Gulf Times, People’s Daily, CCTV, Phoenix TV, and China Arab TV. He was interviewed by several media after the meeting.

At the briefing, the CPC and A NEW JOURNEY, videos for the CPC’s international image, were played, and publicity materials were distributed to the attending journalists.
